Who is Jambiya Kai

 

Jambiya Kai is an emotive South African Short Story

 Songstress, Songwriter and Prose Poet.   

Jambiya’s writing formula is consistent - driven by raconteurs who challenge unjust systems; explore the intricacies of relationships and shifting identities.  She authentically weaves the tragedy and victory of the human experience into a tapestry of not only African but universal tales of war, crimes of colonialism and corruption, abuse, love and hope. 

kai is a member of IWWG (International Women Writers Guild), Bezine Arts and Humanities, 100 Thousand Poets for Peace – (Zimbabwe); Miombo Publishing; NWASA, and more recently, The Christian lifestyle Talk show host and writer for The Diasporanonline Magazine.  She is a revolutionary activist against burns abuse and an advocate for burns survivors; Arts Curriculum Developer and Playwright for a government based after school program - mentoring and training Youth at Risk.

In 2008 she was the overall UK winner of the Good News (London Publishers) Poetry Contest for her poem When Freedom Reigned (Ode to Africa).
